Hi! I’m Dani. I’m 28 years old with 4 kids under the age of six. We all live in California along side my Tarzan husband. As you navigate through this blog, you will find practical information on money saving recipes and crunchy(holistic) tips , but most importantly you’ll find transparency here. I started this blog to create a place where messing up is okay and where perfect isn’t in the vocabulary.
I grew up in a single parent home on welfare. We struggled, we fought and we loved. We also PERSEVERED and FLOURISHED. I have high expectations for myself – too high most of the time. For some reason I thought it was totally normal for someone with my upbringing to magically turn into Betty Draper the second I got hitched. Yeah…. NO. You’ll learn about my current journey of finding my “perfect” in the mess of life.
Are you starting from scratch? Are you on SNAP or WIC? Are you just trying to save money? Are you living paycheck to paycheck? How about working full time with kids in daycare? Are you staying home to save on childcare costs? I’m right there with you, I lived that growing up. I know whats its like to eat “crunchies” (flour, water and seasoning salt) for dinner. I feel like there is this gaping hole in free resources for low income families just trying to get by. My heart is in that community, that beautiful tribe of hardworking mom’s and dad’s who don’t wanna struggle and want to give their babies the world. My prayer is that I can be one of those free resources for you.
If you don’t like to be put in a box by society, welcome! If you like Kombucha but you also love fast food curly fries, make yourself at home! If you have no idea what the hell Kombucha is, you are in the right place! I want to share my journey with you, the ups, the downs, the successes and the failures as well as some helpful tips I’ve learned along the way. This right here is my mess, and it’s marvelous. What’s yours look like?
